Biography
Dr. Mahmoud Abdallah is a board-certified pulmonologist and critical care physician dedicated to providing comprehensive, compassionate care for patients with complex lung and critical care needs. Raised in the Midwest, he earned his Bachelor of Science in Biology from the University of Michigan, where he also completed a Master of Public Health with a concentration in Epidemiology and a certificate in Public Health Genetics. He went on to receive his medical degree from Michigan State University College of Osteopathic Medicine.
Dr. Abdallah completed his internal medicine residency at West Anaheim Medical Center in California, followed by a fellowship in pulmonary disease at Eisenhower Health in Rancho Mirage, and completed his fellowship training in critical care medicine at Montefiore Medical Center in New York City.
Throughout his training and practice, Dr. Abdallah has been active in quality improvement and research, with published work in CHEST and presented at national conferences. He is particularly interested in evidence-based approaches to ICU care and promoting safe, high-quality care for patients with respiratory failure, lung disease, and other critical conditions.
Dr. Abdallah is currently practicing in Orange County with Pathway Medical Group. In addition to his clinical work, he serves as Teaching Faculty and Chair of Performance Improvement at West Anaheim Medical Center, where he mentors medical trainees and helps shape ICU protocols.
Outside of medicine, Dr. Abdallah enjoys traveling, golfing, hiking, woodworking, cooking, and spending time with his family. He is fluent in Arabic and conversational in medical Spanish.
